![]() Are your social media posts(LinkedIn) inflammatory, chip on shoulder, complaining and blaming, desperate af? Could add to someone's impression a bit. ![]() What story is your profile telling? Is it telling people of a history involving you staying in the same type of job, again and again? Is it telling a story of struggle (multiple jobs in one year)? Is it bouncing all over the country? These in itself are not bad things, but could be part of a bigger story.Ĥ. (I teach this in my programs on the website in my bio if you need)ģ. If I can't tell the skills within your job duties, I don't know what you can do. Are your skills listed clearly? I don't mean the skills category (which is worthless imho). Where does my resume say I want to go? What jobs are you asking for in your objective?Ģ. There is a reason you aren't being looked at and hearing crickets.ġ. I bet anything if I were to look at your profile I would skip right over it as well. No, it isn't that hard to find a job nowadays. I had a few projects on Upwork and got a bad review that ruined my Job Success Score from 90 to 63% and no one responds to my proposals :/ (people on upwork forums say something like "you just have to overcome it" but literally no one pays attention to my proposals now) I had a Fiverr profile but got no work on it.Īnd about freelance. I had few projects on Upwork and got a bad review that ruined my Job Success Score from 90 to 63% and no one responds to my proposals :/ (people on upwork forums say something like "you just have to overcome it" but literally no one pays attention to my proposals now) I do learn UI/UX design, however I'd like to earn more experience in Graphic Design.Īnd about freelance. One of my dreams is to move somewhere else by relocating or something. I don't really want to work in local places because the bid is like low around there (I earn 4$/hour now and 8$/hour on weekends, I dont wanna cry about it but I feel like it could be higher). You’ll make more money if you can fill the workload. Ask questions that make you seem like you care about the job and want in. If you’re going to use LinkedIn see if you can find someone who works on the team you’d be applying to and reach out to them. Learn about UI/UX design and start working in programs like Figma that gives you an entire new avenue of work. Post your work in as many places as your can, social media, Reddit, dribbble etc. Local places usually would rather work with someone in the community than a big Corp anyway. Go out to local shops and see if they need any work done. ![]() You’ll meet plenty of people from companies that are hiring. Can turn into something more.Īnother option is local meet ups. It’s a good place to find contract work that pays well and is reliable. It’s a paid service though (pretty cheap). There is a site called flexjob I used to use that was pretty good.
